Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un
It was quite a shock to learn of the passing of my colleague, Prof. Sugeng Triwahyono on 16 February 2018. He was one of the pillars of our journal, institute, and a person who made a mark on so many people professionally and personally. As a friend of Prof. Sugeng Triwahyono for more than twenty years, I want to send my deepest sympathy to his family. Prof. Sugeng, as a chemistry professor, was a very productive researcher and I have the fondest memories of him, his wife, Prof. Aishah Abdul Jalil, and his lovely children, Akmal and Sarah. I convey my love and fond remembrances to his family. May he rest in peace. Al-Fatihah.
