Professor Michael Breadmore is a ARC Future Fellow at the Australian Centre for Research on under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Paul Haddad. He was then a postdoc fellow at the University of Virginia, United State with Prof. James P. Landers followed by another postdoc study at the University of Bern, Switzerland with Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Thormann. He was promoted to a full professor position at the University of Tasmania at the age of 38. He is currently a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Chromatography A and Electrophoresis. He has published more than 140 research and technical papers, several book chapters and patents. He was awarded the first runner up in Physical Sciences for Scopus Young Researchers Award in 2014 and very recently, he was selected as the World Top 40 under 40 Analytcial Scientist powerlist for year 2014. His research interests lie in the application of capillary and microchip electrophoresis for the trace analysis of environmental, clinical and forensic samples.
